Do you take reservations? And are you closed on certain days?
They prefer reservations. And they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays I believe! You can probably get a walk in late in the evening but they can run out of certain dishes.
Do you need to make reservations?
I do not believe so, but the venue is small so it might be wise to do so.
Is there a dog friendly area outside?
No. It's all indoor. Very intimate!
How is the prices
They are what you'd expect from a nice restaurant in a small tourist town. But not too expensive. The food is worth the price!

I would say that Josh might make some vegetarian dishes! The food is awesome and the service is exceptional!
Is it appropriate to bring children
It is a family friendly restaurant, however keep in mind it is a small space and space between tables is limited.

This was some of the best Jambalaya I have ever had! Not only did they make it spicy like I asked but the flavor profiles were superb! The blueberries were a great color enhancer as well as sweet to savory contrast. Large chunks of chicken, basmati rice and the plating was excellent! I washed it down with a great beer and I love their glass water bottles with reseable lids. Very environmentally conscious.

I love this place. We've been coming here for years. Since shortly after they opened. Every time we are in the area we make plans to eat here if we can. The food is spectacular, the service is phenomenal. You really can't beat it. You must give them a try when you're in the area!

WOW!! AMAZING food, great service, beautiful atmosphere. Josh is an incredibly talented, creative chef. The food he creates is ALWAYS exceptional. From every day menu items to specials. I've never once been disappointed. Now to the front of the house.. Outstanding cocktail list, created by Miss Megan herself. Delicious, fresh fruit and puree's, house-made fruit infused vodka and variety! Nice long, wine list with multiple choices in both glass and bottle. Comfortable chairs, clean bar and dining room! I can not say enough about Castaway's! Except, GO!
